Friday was Yui's one year Puny birthday! In celebration of this tremendous event we threw him a jubilant party featuring cake and a slide-show of some of my favorite YUI moments from the past year.

We're not sure how long Nick will let this stay up but someone posted the "Come Out and Play" animation with did for Jesse Ledoux up YouTube. Music by The Little Ones.



After Jesse gave us all of the artwork and storyboards, it took 426 hours to animate and composite. There were lots of little challenges, like Flash's maximum stage size (2880 pixels) being far too small for such a long endless pan.

There isn't a lot in terms of extra art but here's a peek at the Jesse's pencil storyboard:

Employee number 7, or Curtis as many others know him, celebrated his ascent into manhood with a party, cake, and lighting bolts. Yaaahhhh the sleeper has awaken.

Since Kevin linked over here from the BTA blog I figured I'd give Kevin fans something to look at. We have so many projects that we're not supposed to show and it's driving me nuts. This shot doesn't give anything away so it's probably ok. Wait until you see it...and the storyline around it...animated!
