SHADSBIRTHDAY

Last Thursday was Shad's birthday, and to celebrate we held the 1st Annual Puny Talent Show Competition and Exhibition. It was amazing! Puny employees from around the globe showed up to compete in this one day event to final settle the question of "Who's the most talented?" Shad being the birthday boy had the horrible job of judging such a true contest of champions.

Mitch and I put on an amazing LimberShad performance to start the show.

Thomas wowed us with a hilarious comedy routine.

Mitsuru displayed cunning and charisma while mastering the Japanese version of the ball and cup toy.

Amanda chilled us to the bone by speed-reciting "the Raven" in the dark standing on one foot.

Joe and Mark did a hip hop dance routine.

Will made the internet say funny things about Shad.

Victor caught a bunch of change off his elbow, just like the Fonz did.

Julia sand us an internet song.

Then Dave truly shocked and amazed us by blowing up one of those long balloons.

THEN HE ATE IT!

First prize obviously went to Dave.

And all were pleased.

When computers watch themselves watching themselves.

Yui set up the camera backwards on an installation which has the same effect as when you set up parallel mirrors and can see into infinity. This was kind of cooler because there was a delay, and curious creatures to choreograph. Oh accidents.

Snoopy

It's with a little hometown pride (Charles Schulz makes Minneapolis eager to adopt the St. Paul part) that we got to draw and animate Snoopy for a MetLife piece.

You can see it at the end of the yellow section here:

http://www.metlife.com/incomeannuitiesguide/

And here's Mike's example drawing, they wanted a clean no-line-weight Snoopy:

This was a month of legacy character visits, with Snoopy, Tony the Tiger, and Toucan Sam passing through the studio.

Small Gallery Done!

With a little weekend effort we finally finished the remodel of the PUNY side of the gallery. This will hold our portfolio with prints, projected installations, and physical stuff we've made or designed. It'll also be where we keep our Yo Gabba Gabba toy collection...so it'll be a very happy room.

This is also where we'll meet with clients. If you want to hang out in this soon to be joy-filled space..become our client today!

Yo Gabba Gabba Season 2 revealed!

We've been so excited to talk about all the celebrity guest stars and bands this season but mum was the word until now!

Scott and Christian drop names in Variety

Jack Black, Andy Samberg, MGMT, Mates of State! Melora Hardin was there when my wife and I stopped by the set this summer, which was rad as the Office is our only and favorite show to watch together.

PUNY Julia has been taking photos all summer long and as the new Season Premieres on September 22nd, you're sure to see a lot of those photos over at the Yo Gabba Gabba blog.
